About the role.
CBC Infrastructure designs, supplies, deploys and maintains servers, storage and data-centre technology for organisations whose core systems cannot fail. Gedu Technologies builds custom software, integrates systems and delivers cybersecurity, including authentication and PKI solutions for Nigerian banks. Both companies have strong technical teams and blue-chip delivery records. We now need a senior commercial leader to take that capability to many more clients.
You will own new business for both companies. You will open new accounts in banking, fintech, telecoms, government and large enterprise, lead the group’s campaign around regulatory demand for in-country data hosting and security, and build the sales team that grows with it. This is a hunter role with a leadership mandate: you carry your own number from day one and build the team behind you.
The role is on-site in Lagos, with client travel.
What you’ll be doing.
- Build and work a named target list of banks, fintechs, telcos, government agencies and enterprises, and open new accounts at CIO, CISO and head-of-infrastructure level.
- Sell the full CBC Infrastructure and Gedu portfolio: compute, storage, data-centre build and migration, maintenance contracts, custom software, system integration, and cybersecurity services and solutions.
- Lead CBC’s go-to-market for in-country data hosting and compliance-driven infrastructure, working with sister companies where a solution spans the group.
- Own the full sales cycle: discovery, solution shaping with our engineers, proposals and tenders, pricing, negotiation and close, then hand over cleanly to delivery.
- Recruit, coach and lead business development executives as the pipeline grows; set their targets and run a weekly sales rhythm.
- Develop relationships with OEM partners (IBM, HPE and other technology vendors) for joint selling, deal registration and leads.
- Keep an accurate pipeline: forecast honestly, report weekly numbers and protect margin and collections on every deal.
What we’re looking for.
- 8+ years in B2B technology sales or business development in Nigeria, selling infrastructure, data-centre, cloud, enterprise software or cybersecurity solutions.
- A record of deals you personally originated and closed, including at least one of ₦50m (or US$ equivalent) or more in the last three years. Be ready to walk us through the details.
- 3+ years leading salespeople, with evidence that you built or grew a team and lifted its results.
- An active network of decision-makers in banking/fintech and at least one other of telecoms, government or large enterprise.
- A degree in engineering, computer science or IT, or an equivalent technical background (for example pre-sales or engineering), so you can lead a technical conversation with a CIO.
- Strong proposal-writing, tender and negotiation skills.
- Comfort with being measured on gross profit collected and reporting your numbers every week.
Nice to have.
- Experience selling data-centre, colocation, disaster-recovery or hosted infrastructure to regulated institutions.
- Selling through or alongside OEMs (IBM, HPE, Dell, Microsoft, Oracle, Entrust or similar).

- In 6 monthsFirst purchase orders closed and your first team hire justified by pipeline.
- In 12 monthsA gross-profit contribution well above the cost of your role, and a second revenue base for Gedu beyond its largest client.
What we offer.
- A competitive base salary and uncapped commission on gross profit, with accelerators above target.
- A path to group-level commercial leadership for the strongest performer.
- Real responsibility: your own portfolio, your own number and the authority to build a team.
- Direct access to group leadership and to engineers across six companies.
- Breadth: cross-sell connectivity, security and energy solutions from sister companies.
