About the role.

CBC Netcomms delivers dedicated internet access, redundant connectivity, enterprise networking, multi-site connectivity and 24/7 managed monitoring. CBC Surveillance designs, installs and maintains CCTV and AI video analytics (as the authorised Nigerian channel for Holowits), access control, environmental monitoring and intelligent storage for sites that cannot afford blind spots. Together they serve banks, telcos, oil and gas, retail, government and education.

You will lead business development and sales across both companies. You will win new logos, cross-sell connectivity and security into every account, and lead a team of sales engineers so that CBC builds a steady volume of deals beneath its large strategic relationships. You carry your own number and your team’s.

The role is on-site in Lagos, with client travel.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Lead, coach and manage the sales engineering team: set quotas and target lists, run a weekly pipeline review, and develop each person into a consistent closer.
  • Win new enterprise accounts for connectivity and security solutions, especially multi-site organisations (banks, retail chains, telcos, energy, government, campuses).
  • Cross-sell: connectivity into security accounts and security into connectivity accounts, through one combined proposition.
  • Own the sales cycle from discovery and site survey with our engineers, through solution design, proposals, tenders and negotiation, to close and handover.
  • Grow recurring revenue: managed connectivity, monitoring and maintenance contracts alongside project sales.
  • Work with OEM and carrier partners (Holowits and others) on joint pipeline, deal registration and pricing.
  • Protect margin and cash: price for gross profit, agree payment terms that work, and follow every invoice to collection.
  • Keep the pipeline register accurate and report team numbers weekly.

What we’re looking for.

  • 8+ years in B2B technology sales or business development in Nigeria, selling connectivity, enterprise networking, ISP services, or physical and electronic security systems.
  • A record of deals you personally originated and closed, including at least one of ₦50m (or US$ equivalent) or more in the last three years.
  • 3+ years directly managing a sales team, with measurable improvement in the team’s results.
  • An active network of decision-makers in at least two of: banking, telecoms, oil & gas, retail, government, education.
  • A degree in engineering, computer science or IT, or an equivalent technical background, so you can run a site survey conversation and a solution-design discussion credibly.
  • Strong proposal, tender and negotiation skills, and the discipline to report weekly.

Nice to have.

  • Experience selling video surveillance, AI analytics or access control (Holowits, Hikvision, Dahua, ZKTeco or similar).
  • Experience with managed connectivity or fibre/wireless enterprise services at an ISP or telco.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, or physical security or vendor certifications.
  • Experience selling into multi-site estates (bank branches, retail outlets, telco sites).

Your first year.

  • In 90 daysEvery sales engineer working to a quota and weekly activity standard, 30 new-logo meetings across the team, and a qualified new-logo pipeline of at least ₦400m.
  • In 6 monthsEach team member has closed a deal, and combined connectivity-plus-security proposals are winning.
  • In 12 monthsA growing base of recurring managed-service revenue and a team gross-profit contribution well above its cost.

What we offer.

  • A competitive base salary, uncapped commission on gross profit and a team override.
  • A path to group-level commercial leadership for the strongest performer.
  • A team to lead from day one, and the authority to shape how it sells.
  • Direct access to group leadership, and solutions across six companies to sell.
  • Mentorship from a group with more than forty years of delivery.

In your application, tell us.

  1. The largest deal you personally closed in the last three years, with client sector, value and year
  2. The size of team you have led and for how long
  3. The technology lines you have sold
  4. The sectors where you have active decision-maker relationships
  5. Your notice period
  6. Your salary expectation

Build things that have to work.

Real responsibility, real mentorship, one standard across six companies.
